Whose phone does Unbusted run on?
Your kid's phone. You set it up and use a parent PIN to review session details on that same phone.
Where should my kid put their phone?
Prop it against a book with the screen facing them so the front camera can see their face and upper body. Or, you can get this magnetic phone stand we recommend (and yes, we make a little commission).
How does Unbusted know when to remind my kid?
During homework, Unbusted checks whether someone is in the camera's view. It can send a reminder if your kid appears to step away from the camera's view. If they switch away from Unbusted, a notification can prompt them to return.
Unbusted cannot read their texts, see their browsing activity, or see what they do in other apps.
What does the focus-time log show?
The session summary shows focus time, pauses, reminders, and how often—and for how long—your kid switched away from Unbusted. You can unlock a more detailed breakdown with your parent PIN.
Session data stays on your kid's phone. It isn't sent to a separate parent dashboard.
Is my kid's camera always recording?
No. The camera is used only during an active homework session to check whether someone is in view. Unbusted does not record video or give parents a live camera feed.
